Cincinnati World
Series of Girls
Fastpitch
The team
persevered
through some
injuries and
muggy heat to
take the
championship at
the 2nd
annual
Cincinnati World
Series of Girls
Fastpitch held
at Pastime Park
in Harrison,
Ohio. The
Heat
went 5-1 during
the weekend and
defeated Teays
Valley in the
championship.
The hitting was
extremely good
on Championship
Sunday as they
scored 36 runs
in the 3 bracket
games. Great
job ladies!! |

7/12/05
Gahanna
Invitational
Despite
having to deal
with injuries,
the Heat
finished 3rd
at the Gahanna
Invitational
this past
weekend. That
makes 3
consecutive
finishes in the
top 3 for the
Heat. Way to
go. Meanwhile,
Coach Mardee
tried to pass
for a 12U player
in order to
recapture her
youth |

7/04/05
Pickerington
Fastpitch and
Fireworks
The
Heat took
home some
hardware this
weekend. The
team again went
undefeated in
pool play with
hard fought wins
over the
Panthers,
Ultimates, and
the Phoenix.
This earned the
Heat a #1
seed for bracket
play. After
defeating the
Ultimates and
Thunder, the
championship
game matched us
against the #2
seed Lady
Liberty. The
Liberty played
extremely well
and prevailed
7-4 as we fought
a slew of
injuries. The
runner-up finish
shows the
continued
improvement of
the ladies
overall. We had
a great weekend! |
