Monday July 14, 2008: The Buckeye Heat – Abraham 18-U team finished in fourth place at the Stingrays Invitational. The team out scored their opponents’ 39-14 with 4 shut outs.

Sunday July 6, 2008: Another wet weekend causes all pool play cancelled at Great American Premier Softball Showcase ( GAPSS ). Going straight into bracket play The Buckeye Heat-Abraham team  went 3 and 2 on the weekend with wins over Central Ohio Lady Blaze 9-0, Miami Valley Xpress 7-1 and Thunderbolts 4-0. Their 2 losses came from the Lasers Orange (runner-up) 1-2, and Ohio Classics (champions) 5-6.

Monday June 30, 2008: Buckeye Heat 18-U Abraham, were at Sluggerfest II for the weekend. The team went 5-2 with wins over Louisville Mash, 12-3, Cincy Tribe 5-0, Man O War Bulldogs 7-0, Columbus Crush 8-0 and Sunraze Black 6-4. After a four hour rain delay late Saturday with the games shortened to 30 minutes, the Heat received their first loss of the tournament to the eventual champions, Indy Dreams 1-0. They outscored their opponents 39-12 with 3 shutouts. The team finished fourth out of 26 teams.

 

Monday June 23, 2008  The 18-U (Abraham) team at the Great Lakes Invitational, was 4-0 outscoring their opponents 32-1 for the weekend with 3 shutouts. Their scores were Heat 13, Ohio Peppers 1, Heat 9, Indy Shockwave 0, Heat 2, Western NY Elite 0, Heat 8, Northern Blast (MI) 0.. They were awarded the Championship in the 18-U Gold Division. Fifty 18-U teams from Alaska, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Kentucky, New York and Canada were in attendance.

 

June 15, 2008  The 18-U (Abraham) team outscored its opposition 43-9 and went 8-2 to take third place at the Compuware tournament in Canton Michigan.  The team won two of the ten games by run rule and tossed three shutouts in the ten games. Until the Grand Slam game they only had two errors in eight games. They beat the Division I state champion pitcher (Simpson from Hoover and Grand Slam who gave up 12 hits and 7 runs) and the Division I state runner-up pitcher (Sito from Elyria and the Sundogs). .This makes two out of three years they have placed at Compuware.  Third out of 32 of the top teams in the Midwest. Congratulations!

 

Tuesday Jun 10, 2008:  Third Annual Ohio - West Virginia All Star Games

The 3rd annual prestigious Ohio-West Virginia  All-Star Fastpitch Games were played Tuesday June 10th at the University of Rio Grande.  The Ohio All Star team (Team Ohio) won all three games played for the 3rd year in a row. Five Buckeye Heat players were nominated by their high school coaches and were chosen to play in this year's game. The Heat players chosen were Rachel LeMaster Brooke Morgart, Ashley Byers, Sam Woodall and Brittany Dauterman. Coach Joe Abraham was also in attendance. Congratulations to all the athletes. Way to represent OHIO!

 

 The following Buckeye Heat players were chosen to attend the prestigious Queen of Diamonds South  Showcase, held at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina on August 31st - September 2nd 2007.

The Buckeye Heat 18U Abraham team attended the prestigious Rising Stars Fall Showcase in Davie Florida October 26th-28th, 2007. The team won 1 lost 1 and tied 1. Two games were cancelled and all games were shortened with a drop dead time limit due to rain.

October 7, 2007  The 18-U (Abraham) team outscored its opposition 39-2 and went 5-0 to win the Classics NSA Fall Qualifier in Pickerington.  The team won three of the five games by run rule and tossed four shutouts in the five games.

The Buckeye Heat 16-U Abraham team finished their 2006 season with a record of 62 wins, 14 losses and 1 tie, competing in highly competitive tournaments and playing teams from California, Oregon, Virginia, Washington, North Carolina, Kansas,  Illinois, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Canada and Ohio.                      

    The team outscored their opponents' 457-95.  

 

  August 6th, 2006:   Buckeye Heat 16-U Abraham team went 5-2 at the ASA "A" Nationals held in Seattle Washington. They placed 33rd out of 140 teams. Congratulations! The team was knocked out of the tournament late Friday evening in their third game of the day losing to the Shamrocks by 1 run.

Going into the NSA World Series, the Buckeye Heat (Abraham) 16U Team has a record of 53 wins, 10 losses and 1 tie. Congratulations Ladies! The team went 4-2 getting knocked out late Friday evening in their 3rd game of the day by the Bay State Brats from Massachusetts. Good Luck in Seattle at the ASA Nationals! Go Heat!

 

July 16th, 2006:   Buckeye Heat- Abraham 16 U team places fourth at the Stingrays ASA Invitational.

Monday July 9th, 2006:   Buckeye Heat- Abraham 16 U team makes another clean sweep this weekend winning all 7 games to take the championship at the Loudonville ASA Invitational.

 Monday July 2nd, 2006:  The Buckeye Heat 16U Abraham team played third at the NSA "A" State tourney going 7-2 for the weekend

Monday June 26th, 2006:  The Buckeye Heat 16U Abraham team were the champions at the Shreve ASA National Qualifier winning their berth to the ASA Nationals held in Seattle Washington! The team defeated the Corona Angels, So Cal 3D, Virginia Legends and Oregon Slammers. All were very strong teams.  CONGRATULATIONS!

The Buckeye Heat 16U (Abraham) team placed third in the Stingrays Invitational June 12th, 2005, tied for third at Sluggerfest II June 26th 2005, finished 17th out of 55 teams July 3rd, 2005 at the Colorado Fireworks tournament, finished 3rd  out of 24 teams July 17th,2005 at GAPSS. The Buckeye Heat 16U (Abraham) team tied for 1st July 24th, 2005 at Toledo Fastpitch Classic, and played up at the 18-U level at GFOD Final Blast II  July 31st, 2005 where they took the Championship. This team won 47 of 65 games played with most of the players on the team still being 14-U eligible.
